Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote E-commerce Inventory Manager to oversee stock levels and optimize inventory for online retail operations.

This fully remote role lets you manage inventory strategy from anywhere, forecast demand, and partner with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and cost efficiency.

You will analyze sales trends, implement best practices, and report KPIs such as turnover and stock accuracy, contributing to customer satisfaction and profitability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in e-commerce inventory management or related supply chain roles.
• Strong forecasting and data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency with inventory management software, ERP systems, and ecommerce platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, business admin, operations, or related field.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies for the e-commerce platform.
• Monitor stock across warehouses and channels; forecast demand to avoid stockouts/overstock.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to refine planning and purchasing decisions.
• Manage supplier and logistics relationships for timely replenishment.
• Implement and optimize inventory management software and systems.
• Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
• Report KPIs on turnover, stock accuracy, and carrying costs.
• Collaborate with e-commerce and marketing on promotions and launches.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in the inventory lifecycle.
• Manage clearance of slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
