Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Supply Chain & Logistics Strategist to drive innovative, scalable strategies across a global network. You will analyze complex data, identify bottlenecks, and design optimized networks with emphasis on AI, automation, and sustainability.

You will influence senior stakeholders across regions, including Queenstown and beyond, while leading cross-functional initiatives to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 7 years in supply chain strategy, logistics, or operations consulting.
• Proven track record of large-scale supply chain strategy implementation.
• Expert knowledge of transport, warehousing, and international trade.
• Strong analytics; experience with AI, ML, or automation in logistics.
• Excellent leadership and remote stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term strategic plans for supply chain and logistics.
• Analyze end-to-end performance and identify improvement areas.
• Design optimized logistics networks including transport, warehousing, and distribution.
• Evaluate and adopt AI, IoT, and analytics to enhance capabilities.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales to align strategies.
• Create KPIs and governance to track progress and accountability.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis for trends.
• Manage strategic projects and ensure on-time delivery.
• Build relationships with 3PLs and suppliers.
• Advise senior management on risks and strategic choices.
