Placements24 is seeking a vigilant and experienced Remote Construction Safety Officer to ensure safe working environments across projects near Queenstown. You will develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety plans for construction sites, conduct virtual safety audits, and deliver safety training remotely to advise site teams on best practices to minimize risks.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of construction safety management, NOSA/NEBOSH certification, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and experienced Remote Construction Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment across their projects, with an emphasis on operations near Queenstown . While working remotely, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive health and safety plans for construction sites. Your role involves conducting virtual safety audits, providing safety training remotely, and advising site teams on best practices to minimize risks and prevent accidents. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable about construction safety regulations and is adept at managing safety protocols from a distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific health and safety management systems.
• Conduct remote safety inspections and risk assessments of construction sites and activities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks to site personnel via online platforms.

Requirements

• Certified Safety Officer (e.g., NOSA, NEBOSH) or equivalent qualification.

• Experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
