Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a leader in cloud infrastructure to recruit a Junior Cloud Operations Apprentice. This fully remote, remote-first program is designed to train aspiring IT professionals in system administration, networking, security best practices, and automation across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

You will learn from experienced cloud engineers, participate in monitoring and deploying cloud resources, and gain hands-on experience with modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Foundational IT and networking knowledge (Linux/Windows).
• Interest in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Basic scripting (Bash, Python) a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration.
• Remote work capable with good self-discipline.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and availability.
• Support deployment, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
• Learn scripting/automation for operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot incidents affecting cloud services.
• Assist in implementing security measures in the cloud.
• Document cloud procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations under supervision.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies.
