Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage a robust IT backbone from a fully remote setting. You will ensure scalable, reliable, and secure servers, networks, and cloud environments while collaborating with diverse IT teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across infrastructure technologies, proactive problem-solving, and a strong ability to thrive remotely in a dynamic environment, supporting critical business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in server administration, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, VMware or Hyper-V, and scripting for automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain server infrastructure including virtualization and cloud platforms.
• Manage and monitor network infrastructure for high availability, performance, security.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies across infrastructure.
• Automate tasks using scripting and config management (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Provide Level 3 support for complex infra issues.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
