Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer for a fully remote position supporting projects across Queenstown and surrounding regions. You will conceptualize, design, and document civil infrastructure including roads, drainage, and site services.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, is registered with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng), and has at least 8 years of progressive design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• ECSA registration (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design.
• Experience designing road infrastructure, site services, and drainage systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant design analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop civil infrastructure plans including roads, earthworks, and utilities.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Conduct remote site analysis and data gathering.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients via virtual channels.
• Review design documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Support proposal and report preparation.
• Provide technical support during construction, potentially remotely or with limited site visits.
