Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an AI Ethics and Responsible AI Lead to shape governance, policy and strategy for a fully remote team. You will drive responsible AI across all initiatives, develop risk assessment methodologies, and foster an ethical culture with cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires senior leadership experience, deep knowledge of AI technologies, and strong communication with legal and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years in AI ethics or related domain with leadership.
• Deep knowledge of AI, ML, and ethical/societal implications.
• Experience building AI governance frameworks and ethical review processes.
• Strong knowledge of global AI regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in risk management for technology.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Commitment to responsible AI development.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI ethics vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Lead governance for responsible AI development and deployment.
• Lead cross-functional teams for ethical impact assessments.
• Develop and deliver training on AI ethics.
• Monitor global AI ethics landscape and provide strategic insights.
• Collaborate with legal/compliance to ensure regulations.
• Advise senior leadership on AI ethics matters.
• Foster culture of ethical awareness and accountability.
• Engage with external stakeholders and academia on AI ethics.
• Oversee documentation of AI ethics policies and practices.
