Placements24 is seeking a Remote AI Fairness & Bias Mitigation Lead to champion fairness in AI systems. You will identify and address biases, develop metrics, and guide product and engineering teams on ethical implications. This role offers global remote collaboration and the autonomy to shape responsible AI practices.

You will work with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to implement robust fairness solutions and stay ahead of evolving standards in AI governance.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a quantitative field with focus on AI fairness.
• Minimum 5 years in AI/ML with at least 2+ years in AI fairness/bias mitigation.
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of bias in ML and fairness metrics.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with statistical analysis and experimental design.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for identifying, measuring, and mitigating bias in AI models.
• Develop quantitative fairness metrics and evaluation methodologies.
• Collaborate with data science/engineering to integrate bias mitigation in ML lifecycle.
• Conduct fairness audits and provide actionable recommendations.
• Educate and train teams on AI fairness principles and practices.
• Advise on ethical implications of AI systems and biases.
• Develop governance policies related to fairness and bias.
