Placements24 is partnering with a global leader in responsible technology to hire a Senior AI Ethics and Governance Specialist in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will shape ethical guidelines and governance frameworks for AI development and deployment, ensuring fairness, transparency, accountability, and alignment with societal values.

You will collaborate with AI teams, legal, and policy makers, conduct risk assessments, and develop training programs on AI ethics while staying abreast of evolving

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, technology governance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and regulatory landscapes.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Experience in policy development, risk management, or compliance is a plus.
• Ability to work across interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain AI ethics policies and governance frameworks.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for AI projects.
• Advise AI teams on fairness, transparency, accountability, and privacy in AI.
• Monitor AI systems for ethical concerns and biases and oversee mitigation strategies.
• Engage with regulators, industry groups, and academia on AI ethics matters.
• Develop training programs on AI ethics for internal stakeholders.
