Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer - Reliability for our Pacific Site near Hastings, New Zealand.

You will maximise plant reliability through planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and continuous improvement, working with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and boost asset performance. The role is a day shift (6:00am–3:00pm) with a five-day week, rostered weekend work with extra allowances on Saturdays/Sundays and overtime for weekday offs.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and industrial maintenance.
• Practical problem-solving ability and sound judgement under pressure.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Organised, with the ability to prioritise in a busy plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Maximise plant reliability through planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, equipment repairs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve asset performance across the site.
