Job summary

Fairhall School in Marlborough is seeking a New Zealand registered teacher to join as a part-time, fixed-term release teacher covering parental leave from 1 March 2027 to 29 February 2028 (up to 0.6 FTE). The position serves primary and intermediate students (Years 1–8) with a broad curriculum load.

One of our fabulous staff members is expecting a bundle of joy early next year. Therefore, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, quality New Zealand registered teacher to join our team, covering release from early term 1, 2027. Initially, this cover is for 52 weeks.

We are seeking a skilled release teacher. This position is subject to the parental leave provisions in the contract.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62862 to $105686 depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. An individual's actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
