Job summary

Mangakahia Area School invites applications for a certificated teacher to lead multi-level Year 1–8 classes in a well-resourced school 25 minutes from Whangārei. This fixed-term, part-time position starts at the 2027 academic year and is offered as up to 0.5 FTE with a part-time contract.

The successful candidate will contribute across English, health and physical education, languages, mathematics, science, social sciences, technology, te reo Māori and the arts, working within a supportive staff

Qualifications

• Must hold a current teaching certificate in New Zealand.
• Ability to teach across Year 1–8 multi-level classes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to Year 1–8 students.
• Collaborate with staff to plan and assess multi-level cohorts.
• Contribute to school programs across the primary years.
