Job summary

Southern Cross Health Insurance is seeking a Compliance Manager to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance across the organisation. This role sits within our Risk & Compliance function and focuses on embedding robust compliance controls in day-to-day operations.

You’ll partner with leaders and project teams to provide clear advice on regulatory obligations, develop education materials, and strengthen our compliance framework as NZ financial services regulation evolves.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, risk or regulatory roles within financial services.
• Ability to interpret legislation and translate obligations into practical guidance.
• Experience with compliance frameworks and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance compliance obligations within the risk system.
• Assess risks, issues and incidents; provide viable guidance.
• Evaluate controls and support continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver compliance education, tools and resources.
• Translate regulatory requirements into clear guidance for the business.
• Develop compliance reporting for Board and governance committees.
• Support regulatory returns preparation and submission.
• Embed effective compliance practices with business leaders.
