Job summary

Find Recruitment is supporting a growing financial services organisation in Central Auckland to recruit a Compliance Officer. This hands-on role offers exposure to a broad range of compliance activities and the chance to contribute to the development of compliance frameworks and regulatory processes.

You will work with experienced professionals in a collaborative team, building your technical expertise and helping to deliver high standards of client service in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in compliance or a related role within financial services.
• Knowledge of NZ financial services legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with AML/CFT compliance and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing administration and maintenance of compliance systems, registers and reporting.
• Undertake compliance assurance activities, including monitoring findings, recommendations and remediation actions.
• Assist with the review and updating of compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Support the implementation of compliance projects and regulatory initiatives.
• Assist with AML/CFT compliance activities, including monitoring client accounts, transactions and potentially suspicious activity.
• Provide support with AML/CFT advice, training and ongoing compliance obligations.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to promote a strong compliance culture and positive client outcomes.

About you

You will be a motivated and detail-oriented compliance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is keen to further develop your career within financial services.

Ideally, you will bring

• 2–3+ years' experience in compliance or a related role within financial services.
• A sound understanding of New Zealand financial services legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of the Financial Markets Conduct Act and AML/CFT legislation.
• Experience with compliance monitoring, assurance, regulatory reporting or maintaining compliance systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Well-developed communication and organisational skills.
• A practical, commercially minded approach and a willingness to learn.

A relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law, finance or a related discipline would be advantageous.
