Job summary

Prendos New Zealand Limited in Wellington is seeking an experienced Registered Valuer to help develop our next chapter. You will deliver residential valuations, manage client relationships and contribute to the growth of our Wellington presence.

Reporting to the valuation team, you will handle complex valuations across residential, commercial, and rural sectors, with a focus on accuracy, timely delivery and professional service. A NZIV member with five years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Valuer status with current practising certificate and NZIV membership.
• Minimum five years' valuation experience, including two years in the New Zealand market.
• Approval on Velocity panels enabling access to residential valuation work.
• Strong report writing, research, analytical and client-management capability.

• Take on complex, high-value, commercial, industrial, rural, rental or insurance valuation work where appropriate.

• Work closely with valuation colleagues, administration, marketing, engineering, building surveying and quantity surveying teams.
• Support junior and graduate valuers as the Wellington team grows.
• Contribute to local market insights, profile-raising activity and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

With strong technical ability you are commercially minded and ready to get out into the market. You’ll be comfortable working autonomously while drawing on the support and expertise of a well-established national team.

You will ideally have:

• A Registered Valuer status, a current practising certificate and NZIV membership.
• At least five years’ valuation experience, including 2 years in New Zealand market.
• Approval on Velocity panels, with the ability to access residential valuation work.
• Strong report-writing, research, analytical and client-management capability.
• A Wellington network and appetite for business development.
• The resilience and self-motivation to build momentum in a growing office.

Commercial valuation experience, direct bank-panel approvals, compensation valuation experience and prior people leadership experience will be advantageous.
