The Doctors Medical Centres in New Zealand's largest GP network invites applications for a permanent full-time registered nurse to join our New Lynn location. You will contribute to clinical excellence within a multidisciplinary team and support community health.

Qualifications

• Current NZ practicing certificate with experience in a medical centre preferred.
• Competent in primary and secondary care nursing.

• Postgraduate nursing qualifications or working towards a specialty (travel, occupational health, prescribing, chronic conditions) desirable.
• Willing to continually learn and improve.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR certificate preferred.
• Immunisation and smear taking certificates desirable.
• Second language is an advantage.

Nurses in General Practice enhance community health and equity, providing advanced care within multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join us at The Doctors New Lynn to contribute clinical excellence and community health improvement. You will work alongside skilled colleagues, supported by dedicated medical center leadership. This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours across Monday to Sunday.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable)
• Competent in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care
• Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
• Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or if you are working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions
• Willing to continually learnand improve
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.
• You will ideally hold current CPR certificate
• Immunisation and smear taker certificates is desirable but not essential
• A second language skill is an advantage.
