Job summary

The Doctors Medical Centres in Hastings/Waipawa is seeking a Registered Nurse for a casual on-call position across multiple sites. You will provide nursing care in a general practice environment, contributing to community health and equity while working with a supportive team.

Applicants should hold NZ practicing certification, demonstrate excellent communication, and be willing to learn. CPR, immunisation and smear-taking skills are advantageous, and computer literacy is required.

Qualifications

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre.
• Competent in nursing in primary and/or secondary care.
• Practice aligns with the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Willing to continually learn and improve.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ideally hold current CPR certificate.
• Immunisation and smear taker certificates desirable.
• Computer literate.

Nurses in General Practice enhance community health and equity, providing advanced care within multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join us at The Doctors Hastings/Waipawa to contribute clinical excellence and community health improvement. You will work alongside skilled colleagues, supported by dedicated medical center leadership.

This is a casual position, working on an as needed basis across both practices.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable)
• Competent in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care
• Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
• Willing to continually learn and improve
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.
• You will ideally hold current CPR certificate
• Immunisation and smear taker certificates is desirable but not essential
• Computer literate
