Job summary

The Doctors Silverstream and The Doctors Muritai seek a Registered Nurse to join our committed, supportive general practice team. This permanent part-time role is 32 hours per week, spanning Monday to Sunday across two practices.

You will work alongside skilled colleagues, delivering nursing care within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to community health outcomes. NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit required.

Qualifications

• Current NZ practicing certificate with nursing experience in a medical/GP setting is desirable.
• Postgraduate nursing qualifications or specialisation (travel, occupational health, long-term conditions) are advantageous.
• Willingness to continually learn and improve; good communication and rapport with the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care within a general practice setting.
• Work across two practices: The Doctors Silverstream and The Doctors Muritai.
• Collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

This is a permanent part time position working 32 hours across Monday to Sunday.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable)
• Competent in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care
• Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
• Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or if you are working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions
• Willing to continually learnand improve
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.
• You will ideally hold current CPR certificate
• Immunisation and smear taker certificates is desirable but not essential
