The Doctors in Takapuna is seeking a part-time, experienced Registered Nurse for a permanent role at our busy clinic at Hauraki Corner. You will join a supportive general practice team and work with skilled clinicians and administration staff in a welcoming environment.

Preferred areas include cannulation, wound care, triage, smear taking, and running nurse-led clinics for diabetes and asthma. You will be encouraged to work to the top of your scope, with regular nurse meetings, ongoing training,

Qualifications

• Current NZ practicing certificate is essential.
• Experience in general practice preferred.
• Willingness to undertake required certifications.
• Ability to work with GPs in acute situations.
• Strong documentation and tech skills.
• Reliable, independent and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in chronic conditions, consultations and emergencies.
• Collaborate with GPs and administration in a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in nurse meetings and keep documentation up to date.
• Support nurse-led clinics and ongoing professional development.
• May include Saturday shifts at satellite Devonport clinic.

Job description

We are looking for a part time experienced, clinically excellent RN required for permanent position working at our busy clinic at Hauraki Corner, Takapuna.

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join the nursing team at Medplus. We are looking for a practice nurse who can fit easily into our large friendly team.

You will be working with skilled clinical and administration colleagues and be supported by a dedicated medical centre leadership team.

Preferred key knowledge and skill areas:

• Cannulation
• Wound care management
• Triage
• Smear taker
• Have knowledge and previous experience in running nurse-led clinics for diabetes, asthma, and others.
• Demonstrate a willingness to undertake training for any areas requiring certification.

The role could involve a 6.15pm finish on weekdays and may include a rotation of Saturday weekend shift between 08.45am - 1.00pm and occasional shifts at our satellite clinic in Devonport.
