Job summary

Presbyterian Support Otago’s Holmdene in Balclutha seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a fixed-term role. You will lead a team of Care Workers and Enrolled Nurses, develop and evaluate care plans, and deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents while promoting independence and quality of life.

The role requires NZ RN registration, strong clinical and leadership skills, and ability to work under pressure. Parental leave cover with 72 hours per fortnight, mid-December to early July 2027.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate.
• Experience in elder care preferred.
• Leadership and team supervision skills are essential.
• Ability to make clinical decisions in residents' best interests.
• Experience with InterRAI assessment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of Care Workers and Enrolled Nurses to provide care.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated health care plans.
• Perform general nursing functions with clinical decision-making.
• Promote residents' independence and quality of life.
