Job summary

Presbyterian Support Otago – Holmdene in Balclutha is looking for a Health Care Assistant to provide personal care and support to residents at our Enliven home, helping with daily activities and wellbeing. This permanent part-time role offers 25 hours per week with shifts rostered across mornings, afternoons and nights.

You will bring empathy, teamwork, and a caring approach; aged care experience is preferred and Level 3/4 Health and Wellbeing cert required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent.
• Experience in an aged care environment preferred.
• Able to cover morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Physically fit and strong.
• Team player with empathy and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and daily activities.
• Assist with mealtimes and general care duties.
• Relieve rostered shifts across mornings, afternoons and nights.
• Work as part of a caring team in Holmdene.

You'll put your practical skills and compassion into supporting residents with everyday activities such as personal care, assistance at mealtimes, and general care duties that make for happier, healthier living at an Enliven home. You will work hard, but there are few jobs that will give you the immense satisfaction of working for people who are grateful for your help and who contribute to an enriching working environment.

Hours:Permanent part-time position; working 25 hours per week, relieving as rostered with a variety of shifts and days. Additional shifts can be worked by mutual agreement. Flexibility to cover leave across all shift types – morning, afternoon, and night shifts is essential.

About You
