Health NewZealand | Te Whatu Ora in Nelson is seeking a NZ Registered Nurse to join the Interventional Radiology and Cardiology teams. The role spans the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Interventional Radiology with opportunities to work across multidisciplinary groups.

You will assist with procedures such as biopsies, drainages, vascular access, PCI and pacemaker-related work, scrubbing and circulating. A minimum of two years nursing experience is required.

Qualifications

• NZ registered nurse with at least two years nursing experience.
• Experience in Cardiology and/or Radiology nursing is desirable.
• Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with interventional radiology and cardiac catheterisation procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating roles during procedures.
• Prepare and consent patients and administer contrast when required.
• Develop advanced skills through ultrasound-guided vascular access and procedural sedation.

About theRole

Wehave an exciting opportunity for a New Zealand Registered Nurse with experiencein Cardiology and/or Radiology nursing to join our dynamic team.

Thisdiverse role spans both the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory andInterventional Radiology, working alongside Cardiac Physiologists, MedicalImaging Technologists, Radiologists, Cardiologists, and the multidisciplinaryteam.

InterventionalRadiology responsibilities include assisting with procedures such as biopsies,drainages, aspirations, spinal injections, CT colonography, vascular accessprocedures, Cardiac CT, and consenting and preparing patients for CT, as wellas administering contrast for CT examinations. Within the CardiacCatheterisation Laboratory, you will assist with coronary angiography,percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), pacemaker implantation, and othercardiac and vascular interventional procedures, undertaking both scrub andcirculating roles.

Thisposition also provides opportunities to develop advanced skills, includingultrasound-guided vascular access, procedural sedation, and caring for patientsundergoing complex interventional cardiac and radiology procedures. You will bepart of a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centredcare while encouraging ongoing professional development and upskilling.

• NZ registered nurse with at least twoyears nursing experience.
