Health NewZealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a Registered Nurse with Cardiology and/or Radiology experience to join our dynamic team in Nelson. The role spans Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Interventional Radiology, working with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.

The position offers opportunity to develop advanced skills, supports professional development, and is based at Nelson Hospital with a 0.8 FTE commitment and Monday–Friday, 0800–1630,

Qualifications

• NZ registered nurse with at least two years nursing experience.
• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Enjoy being part of a team that values teamwork, respects individual needs and is motivated by excellent clinical outcomes.
• Provide a high standard compassionate care to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their imaging experience.
• Knowledge and experience of interventional radiology is desirable, and IV cannulation certificate would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including scrub and circulating roles.
• Support procedures in Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Interventional Radiology.
• Consent and prepare patients for CT, angiography and other procedures.
• Collaborate with Cardiac Physiologists, Radiologists and cardiologists.
• Contribute to patient-centred care and ongoing professional development.
