Qualifications

• Proven leadership expertise leading teams and coaching others
• Capability-building initiatives across a region
• Development and delivery of workplans aligned to strategy using data to inform decisions
• Systems thinking across initiatives and dependencies
• Strategic and creative thinking with focus on Māori potential and sustainable change
• Knowledge of Te Ao Māori, tikanga Māori and te reo Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of early childhood initiatives across the region
• Translate policy into day-to-day work including project planning, risk management, monitoring and evaluation
• Maintain overview of direction of project plans across early childhood education portfolio
• Work to ensure goals of the education portfolio are achieved
