Job summary

Kumara Vine is seeking a registered psychologist to join our Learning Support team in Aotearoa. You will support children aged 3 to 15 with challenging behaviours and complex learning needs, across Lower Hutt and Wellington regions.

You will collaborate with teachers, families and kaiako, conduct in-depth assessments, and provide guidance to schools to foster equitable, inclusive education. The role requires NZPB registration and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Psychologist Board registration.
• Experience supporting children 3–15 with challenging behaviours and complex learning needs.
• Ability to work in a trans-disciplinary team.
• Strong communication with schools, families and kaiako.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support and guidance to schools, teachers and families.
• Provide in-depth specialist assessments and analysis for evidenced-informed interventions.
• Coordinate service provision in a multi-agency, trans-disciplinary setting.
• Contribute to inclusive practices and capacity-building for educators.
