Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead infrastructure initiatives around Queenstown (Eastern Cape). You will drive planning, execution, and delivery, coordinating engineers, contractors, and local authorities to meet milestones.

The role requires hands-on leadership, on-site presence, and strong knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards in the region. Fluency in stakeholder engagement is essential.

Qualificações

• 6+ years in project management with civil/infra focus.
• Experience in public sector or community-focused environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure construction methodologies and PM best practices.
• Familiarity with building codes, environmental laws and safety regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage full project lifecycle for infrastructure development: roads, utilities, facilities.
• Develop detailed project plans, define scope, WBS, scheduling and budget.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, contractors, and community liaisons.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and environmental and safety standards.
• Monitor progress, assess risks, implement mitigation and corrective actions.
• Administer budgets, expenditures, payments, and financial reporting.
• Engage with government agencies and local authorities for project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings to ensure quality.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
• Handover completed projects to authorities or operators.
