Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced Regional Reporting & Variance Analysis Lead to join the Regional Finance team. You will drive regional financial reporting, budgeting, accounting and forecasting, collaborating with district finance management and national FP&A functions to deliver timely insights.

Qualifications

• Graduate and postgraduate qualifications with Chartered Accountant status or equivalent.
• At least seven years' senior financial experience, ideally within the public sector or health environment.
• Proven experience developing efficient financial management processes, implementing self-service systems and improving reporting and decision-making capability.
• Strong experience providing strategic advice, guidance and coaching to leaders, alongside advanced capability with financial reporting and data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of financial and non-financial performance reporting, bottom-up budgets and financial forecasts for the region.
• Drive improvements in financial processes, automation and self-service capability.
• Collaborate with District Finance Management teams and national FP&A to strengthen analytical capability and provide meaningful insights.
