Job summary

RWR Health in Hastings, NZ, seeks a hands-on Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function across multiple entities. You will manage budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and financial reporting, while coaching the finance team and translating numbers into actionable insights for service delivery managers.

You will report to the CFO, foster strong relationships, and help drive continuous improvement in systems and processes aligned with kaupapa Māori values.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Strong financial accounting experience including month end, reconciliations and budgeting.
• Experience leading finance staff and coaching a team.
• Experience in multi-entity, contract-funded health or public sector environment is valuable.
• ERP systems capability; Dynamics 365 Business Central experience a bonus.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Collaborative leadership and willingness to support kaupapa Māori values.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance function and a team across financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management.
• Oversee month end, financial reporting, cashflow, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, compliance and audit preparation.
• Build relationships with operational managers and translate numbers into practical insights for decision-making.
• Strengthen systems, processes and internal controls to improve efficiency and use of technology.
• Partner with Service Delivery Managers to understand budgets and financial performance.
