Regional Reporting & Variance Analysis Lead

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to join our Regional Finance team as Regional Reporting & Variance Analysis Lead. This role is responsible for improving regional business, budgeting, accounting and reporting processes, while maximising functionality, automation and self-service capability.

Working closely with District Finance Management teams and national Financial Planning and Analysis functions, you'll lead the delivery of financial and non-financial performance reporting, bottom-up budgets and financial forecasts for the region.

You'll also work collaboratively with national reporting, costing, standards and finance systems teams to develop tools, methods and processes that strengthen analytical capability. You'll help bring financial and operational data together to provide meaningful performance insights, while identifying opportunities to improve reporting, streamline processes and build greater financial capability across the organisation.

About you

You are an experienced senior finance professional with strong analytical capability and a passion for using data and insights to improve financial performance and decision-making. You can translate complex information into clear, practical advice and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

You will bring:

  • A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification, along with Chartered Accountant status or equivalent professional accounting membership.
  • At least seven years' senior financial experience, ideally within the public sector or health environment, with strong financial management and analytical expertise.
  • Proven experience developing efficient financial management processes, implementing self-service systems and improving reporting and decision-making capability.
  • Strong experience providing strategic advice, guidance and coaching to leaders, alongside advanced capability with financial reporting and data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.

You'll also bring excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
