Qualifications

• Five+ years in delivery operations or logistics management.
• Two+ years in a supervisory or management role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of delivery drivers and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Plan, schedule, and optimize daily delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective service.
• Monitor driver performance, adherence to schedules, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensure proper maintenance and condition of the delivery fleet, coordinating with maintenance teams.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to delivery operations and customer service.
• Analyze delivery data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Manage dispatch operations and resolve delivery-related issues or customer complaints promptly.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including vehicle inspections, safe driving practices, and cargo handling.
• Maintain effective communication with drivers, warehouse staff, sales teams, and customers.
• Manage inventory of delivery supplies and materials as needed.

About the Role

Our client, a national distributor of essential goods, is seeking a results-oriented Regional Delivery Supervisor to oversee and manage delivery operations across the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely delivery of products to a diverse customer base. You will lead a team of drivers and delivery personnel, set performance standards, and implement strategies to optimize delivery routes and fleet utilization. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivery operations or logistics management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of drivers.
• Strong understanding of route planning, fleet management, and dispatch systems.
• Excellent knowledge of the Queenstown and surrounding Eastern Cape delivery areas.
• Proficiency in using GPS tracking and delivery management software.
• Solid understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage performance metrics and drive operational efficiency.
• Valid driver's license; a PrDP is advantageous.
