Job summary

Absolute IT is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to grow a portfolio of clients and candidates within New Zealand’s IT market. You will build and strengthen relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders while delivering exceptional candidate experiences.

You’ll recruit across permanent, contract, and fixed-term IT roles, using proactive outreach to promote services, market knowledge, and strong business development. A flexible, performance-driven environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Proven recruitment experience, preferably in IT/tech or related fields.
• Strong revenue target history and ability to exceed goals.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders.
• Capacity to influence senior decision-makers and win client trust.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Growing and developing a portfolio of clients and candidates
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders across the IT sector
• Recruiting a broad range of IT roles, consisting of permanent, contract and fixed-term positions
• Cold and warm calling new and existing businesses to promote your recruitment services and market knowledge
• Deliver exceptional service in line with agreed terms of business and service-level commitments
• Consult on all facets of the IT employment industry, acting as a source of information for clients and candidates

About You

• Proven recruitment experience, preferably within the IT or technology sector. Industry experience is not essential, as we'll provide the specialist training. You bring the recruitment expertise; we'll teach you the market.
• A strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
• Demonstrated business development and client relationship management experience
• The ability to influence and build credibility with senior decision-makers
