Job summary

ACC is hiring a Recovery Partner in Christchurch to support people living with lifelong disability after injury. You’ll build trusted relationships with clients and whānau, understanding what matters and coordinating the right health, disability and community services to assist independence.

You will work with health professionals, employers and agencies across sectors to enable goals, navigate complex journeys and keep plans moving forward with empathy and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients/kiritaki and whānau to understand goals and identify supports.
• Coordinate with health, disability and community providers to assemble the right services.
• Develop plans and navigate complex systems; keep stakeholders informed and moving forward.
• Engage in difficult conversations when needed and advocate for the client’s independence.
• See the person beyond injury; focus on strengths, aspirations and meaningful outcomes.
