Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Southern – Hamilton, Waikato, is seeking an enthusiastic ED receptionist to join the clerical team at Waikato Hospital. This 0.8 FTE role (four shifts per week) is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave, with a mix of day and night shifts.

In this role you will deliver high-quality, customer‑focused reception services, verify and input patient information accurately, and liaise with patients, whānau and healthcare professionals to support

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a receptionist or in administration, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work across shifts including nights and varied hours.
