Job summary

One New Zealand is seeking a skilled RAN Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end Mobile Access Network projects and manage complex delivery across RAN software, OSS, and IT infrastructure.

The role is a 9-month fixed-term position with flexibility to work from home and hours that suit work-life balance. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, track scope, schedule, budget and quality, and drive project governance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project coordination within telecom or infrastructure delivery.
  • Knowledge of RAN and OSS software delivery, lab testing, production rollout.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and manage priorities in a complex delivery environment.

Ko tō tūranga – your role

As the RAN Technical Project Manager your role is to lead the end-to-end delivery of Mobile Access Network projects and work packages across RAN software, OSS, IT/site infrastructure and associated technology domains.

This is a 9 month fixed‑term role

Ko Tō Mahi – What You’ll Do
  • Deliver Mobile Access Network projects and work packages across the full project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate project activities from planning through to handover, documentation and close-down.
  • Support end‑to‑end programme delivery, procurement, vendor engagement and delivery governance.
  • Track delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
  • Maintain project plans, risks, issues, actions, reporting, financial tracking and forecasts.
  • Coordinate suppliers, partners, contractors and internal stakeholders across multiple technical domains.
  • Coordinate detailed technical workstreams and manage complex delivery dependencies.
  • Lead lab testing, implementation and change planning, production rollout, rollback readiness and post-deployment validation.
  • Escalate delivery risks, issues and concerns appropriately and drive them through to resolution.
  • Support effective project handover, documentation completion and formal close-down.
Na Tōu Rourou - What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in project coordination or project management, ideally within telecommunications or infrastructure delivery.
  • Working knowledge of RAN and OSS software delivery, lab testing and production rollout.
  • Working knowledge of mobile network site delivery, including radio, power, transmission and associated infrastructure.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and manage competing priorities in a complex delivery environment.
  • Strong planning, reporting, financial tracking and risk management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers and external delivery partners.
  • Familiarity with project delivery tools, governance and reporting processes.
  • A relevant project management qualification, or currently working towards one, is desirable.
  • Telecommunications, engineering or infrastructure experience is advantageous.
