Job summary

Wintec in Hamilton is seeking an Āniwaniwa Rainbow Coordinator to coordinate and support Wintec’s Rainbow Alliance, a staff‑led group for the LGBTTQIA+ community, reporting to the Manaaki Akonga Manager. You will plan rainbow events, raise visibility of Wintec’s rainbow whānau, and advise on policies to foster an inclusive environment for staff and students.

Applicants should have a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, related work or voluntary experience, and demonstrated experience

• Related work/voluntary experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting people who identify with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support Wintec’s Āniwaniwa Alliance, a staff-led rainbow group that supports the LGBTTQIA+ community at Wintec.
• Coordinate rainbow events/activities for both staff and students and raise visibility to Wintec’s rainbow whānau.
• Raise awareness and understanding of issues relating to LGBTTQIA+ community, advise on policies, processes and systems.
