Job summary

KiwiRail Freight is seeking a Timetable Performance Analyst in New Zealand to develop, maintain, and analyse network operating models and timetables. You will ensure infrastructure and rolling stock changes are reflected in planning tools to support robust decisions on upgrades and timetable adjustments.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, fit-for-purpose train plans that meet safety and efficiency goals across the network.

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical skills with experience interpreting, analysing, and reporting data.
  • Planning and scheduling experience in a large infrastructure environment.
  • Strong relationship and communication skills, with experience delivering to timelines and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage timetables throughput from external stakeholders into systems, ensuring conflict-free outputs.
  • Maintain and update network infrastructure models in simulation tools.
  • Develop and validate network operating models for upgrades and rolling stock changes.
  • Model and analyse network scenarios to support timetable changes.
  • Present modelling results clearly for decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve operational and customer issues for robust timetables.
  • Review and approve new timetables and changes to improve outcomes.
