Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited is seeking a Planning Analyst (Network Planning) in Auckland to identify growth opportunities, optimise our international route network, and help deliver commercial outcomes that connect New Zealand with the world.

In this role you’ll develop forecasts and business cases, use planning tools and modelling techniques, and partner with Commercial, Revenue Management, Fleet Planning, Finance and Operations to deliver integrated network plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in airline network planning or a comparable commercial analytical environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into practical commercial recommendations.
• Experience developing forecasts, business cases, or commercial analysis that supports business decision making.
• The ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across different teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver network improvement initiatives across our international route portfolio, working with stakeholders to achieve successful commercial outcomes.
• Analyse network opportunities using industry planning tools and modelling techniques to identify initiatives that improve commercial performance.
• Develop forecasts and business cases that support informed network and scheduling decisions.
• Partner with teams across Commercial, Revenue Management, Fleet Planning, Finance, and Operations to deliver integrated network plans.
• Monitor competitor scheduling activity, market trends, and network performance to identify opportunities and emerging risks.
• Share insights and best practice that contribute to continuous improvement across the Network Planning team.
