Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in the Wellington region is seeking an experienced radiology nurse to support CT procedures. You’ll prep patients for contrast CT, cannulate, review histories and reassure those who are anxious, ensuring safety and smooth flow from admission to discharge.

Based at Kenepuru with secondary support across our Wellington sites, you’ll help with interventional work, breast and US procedures and ongoing professional development in a collaborative, patient‑centred team

Qualifications

• Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
• Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
• 3 years' minimum post-graduation experience
• Current IV skills including CVAD, cannulation and PCA
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new applications
• Level 6 Resus skills; ED or Radiology experience preferred
• Understanding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equitable outcomes for Māori
• Commitment to ongoing learning and maintenance of PDRP

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for contrast-enhanced CT, cannulate and review history
• Support CT cardiac scans and work with cardiology to ensure safety
• Be the calm, reassuring presence for anxious patients and provide continuous care from arrival to discharge
• Expand skills in interventional work with CT, breast and US procedures
• Contribute to a collaborative, supportive department focused on quality care
