Consultant Radiologist – Rotorua Hospital, New Zealand

Position: Permanent, Part or Full Time.

About the Role

Work alongside a small supportive and competent team of consultant radiologists and radiology support staff.

Requests for part‑time and flexible working will be considered, and the role is open to candidates wanting to work across both public and private settings.

Imaging is provided in most modalities via:

Imaging Modalities

• GE Apex Elite CT and Canon Aquilion Prime CT
• 1.5T Siemens Magnetom Aera MRI
• Siemens Artis Zee C‑arm fluoroscopy suite
• GE Logic E10 ultrasound units
• Teleradiology service covers overnight on call; home reporting available for evening on call.

Responsibilities also include departmental quality and audit, peer review, and teaching activities.

About the Team / Service / Location

The team includes medical imaging technologists, radiographers, and sonographers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered, or able to be registered, with MCNZ under vocational scope of practice as an Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist.
• Fellow of RANZCR or equivalent (e.g., FRCR) or completion of training in a comparable health care system to MCNZ standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with patients in a multicultural and multidisciplinary setting.
