Job summary

Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital is seeking a Radiologist to support surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services. You will attend multidisciplinary team meetings and deliver high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging.

The role emphasizes quality improvement, innovation of new services, and providing teaching and mentorship within a collaborative team of up to eleven clinicians committed to equity in health outcomes for a diverse population, including Māori and Pasifika

Qualifications

  • MCNZ registration or eligibility is required.

Job description

Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital – Radiology Position (Permanent, Part‑time or Full‑time, 64‑80 hours per fortnight, 0.8–1.0FTE).

About the Role

As a Radiologist, you will support the hospital’s surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services. Your duties include attending multidisciplinary team meetings, delivering high‑quality diagnostic and interventional imaging, driving continuous quality improvement, innovating new services, and providing teaching and mentorship.

About the Team / Service / Location

You will join a collaborative, collegial team of up to eleven clinicians dedicated to improving equity and health outcomes for a diverse population, including a significant Māori and Pasifika community. The team participates in a regional training programme and has close ties with other imaging departments and tertiary services to provide comprehensive care.

About You – Qualifications
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, with MCNZ under the vocational scope of practice as an Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist.
  • Either a Fellow of RANZCR or able to demonstrate equivalence (e.g., FRCR) or completion of training in a comparable health‑care system to MCNZ standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams in a multicultural setting.
