Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Regional Operations Supervisor to oversee Queenstown’s distribution activities. This hands-on, hybrid role requires a proactive leader to manage daily operations, supervise staff, coordinate logistics, and safeguard service and safety standards.

You will monitor inventory, optimize routes, report on performance, and drive continuous improvement within the regional distribution network.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in operations or logistics supervision.
• Proven experience leading and motivating a team of operational staff.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operational activities within the Queenstown region, including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of operational staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, implementing controls to minimize discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage transportation logistics, optimizing routes and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Assist in the implementation of operational improvements and process enhancements.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare operational reports and communicate performance metrics to management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
