Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead energy projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will manage scope, schedule, and budgets while overseeing design, procurement, and construction of power facilities.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical/civil engineering degree, 7+ years PM experience in power, and strong leadership and communication skills. Travel to sites and compliance with safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years in project engineering/PM within power generation.
• Experience with thermal or renewable power projects.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy projects from initiation through completion and objectives.
• Develop detailed plans with scope, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Oversee design, procurement, and construction for power facilities.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations in energy.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and issue corrective actions.
• Maintain project documentation and change orders.
• Provide technical guidance to project team.
• Support continuous improvement in PM and engineering.
