The role requires a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Pr. Eng registration with ECSA, with 8+ years in power distribution and grid operations. Strong leadership and stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Pr. Eng registration with ECSA.
• 8+ years in electrical power distribution and grid operations.
• Strong knowledge of protection, load management, and grid stability.
• Experience with power system analysis software (DigSilent, ETAP).
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder skills.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, design, and oversee expansion and upgrades to distribution network.
• Perform load flow, fault level, and protection studies.
• Develop specs for transformers, switchgear, and conductors.
• Ensure reliability, asset management, and maintenance strategies.
• Investigate power quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage projects from conception to completion within budget and schedule.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and liaise with contractors and regulators.
• Contribute to long-term capital investment plans for the network.
