Job summary

Signature Construction – Albany, North Island, Auckland region, is expanding and seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying Manager to join our high-performing team. This senior role reports to the Operations Manager and leads QS/Estimating staff.

You will mentor a team, manage tenders, client meetings, and supplier contracts while driving margin, profitability and cashflow across major residential projects on the North Shore of Auckland.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ NZ experience in construction, preferably using NZS3910 or similar.
• Estimation experience in multi-unit housing, civil site works, and $10m+ tenders.
• Strong financial literacy and attention to detail, including reading plans and quotes.
• Great people skills and the ability to work as a team.
• Working knowledge of NZ construction systems, NZS3910 and the CCA.
• Computer literacy – Excel, Outlook, Word. Experience with Cat Projects or Cost-X advantageous but not
• A track record of improving margin, profitability and cashflow.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of reports required by clients including payment claims, variations, site progress and cashflow.
• Preparation and presentation of regular progress reports to the Operations Manager, CEO and Directors
• Search, selection and management of suppliers and sub-contractors, continuously benchmarking pricing in the market to drive the best commercial outcome.
