Responsibilities

• Conduct daily in-line quality inspections and environmental monitoring.
• Perform internal audits and food safety verification activities.
• Support inspection and release of incoming raw materials and finished products.
• Manage product test submissions and review laboratory results.
• Investigate internal incidents, supplier non-conformances, and customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Support product trials, new product introductions, and quality monitoring activities.
• Assist with supplier and customer documentation and maintain quality records.
• Support food safety and quality training activities and maintain training records.

Based in Auckland, we are seeking a Quality Control Officer to join our Quality Team. This role focuses on in-line monitoring, inspections, product testing, quality verification activities, and supporting food safety and quality systems across our manufacturing operations. The position also provides support across a range of quality processes and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

Conducting daily in-line quality inspections, verification activities, and environmental monitoring.

Performing various internal audits and other food safety verification activities.

Supporting the inspection and release of incoming raw materials and finished products.

Managing product test submissions and reviewing laboratory results.

Investigating internal incidents, supplier non-conformances, and customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.

Supporting product trials, new product introductions, and quality monitoring activities.

Assisting with supplier and customer documentation and maintaining quality records.

Supporting food safety and quality training activities and maintaining training records.

What you will bring:

Experience in a quality control, quality assurance or related role within a food manufacturer.

A sound understanding of food safety, GMP, and quality systems.

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspections and documentation.

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to assist with investigations and corrective actions.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

A qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Quality, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
