Job summary

Apprenticeships Training Trust NZ (ATT) is seeking a qualified Electrician with Supervisor experience for a permanent, full-time role in Nelson. The position covers residential, commercial, industrial and marine electrical work within a close-knit team.

You will manage jobs from quoting to invoicing, work on varied projects, and contribute to a safety-led workplace with strong team support. marine expertise is valued.

Qualifications

• Must hold current NZ electrical registration and practising licence.
• Proven experience as a qualified Electrician and Supervisor.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and safe work practices.
• Valid full NZ driver licence.
• Marine and automotive skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations, planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose faults and provide practical, reliable solutions.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications and technical drawings.
• Estimate labour or material costs/amounts from blueprints or work plans.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and relevant electrical standards.
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors and team members.
• Maintain tools, equipment and accurate job records.

Are you a qualified Electrician with a Supervisor ticket (2 years qualified) looking for long-term stability, varied work and a supportive team? ATT are seeking a skilled and safety-focused professional to join our client in a permanent, full-time position.

Our client offers a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial and marine Electrical work.

About the Role:

Our client is a tight-knit team delivering a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, marine, and industrial projects. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, qualified electrician who brings specialised marine expertise alongside a broad electrical skill set to support their growing operations.

The role provides plenty of variety where no two days are the same, with with smaller jobs coming in and call outs and you would be part of a close knit team and have the ability to manage whole jobs from quoting to preparing invoicing for admin team to process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Have marine and automotive skills to support the role
