Job summary

Canstaff in Napier, NZ is seeking experienced builders for diverse residential and commercial projects. This hands-on role focuses on on-site work across architectural builds, renovations, and additions, with remuneration to match skills and experience.

Your duties include planning, scheduling, material purchasing, quality assurance and safety, plus liaising with subcontractors, clients and other parties to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in architectural builds, renovations, additions/alterations and/or commercial construction.
• LBP license beneficial.
• 10+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Primarily on the tools with involvement in planning, scheduling, material purchasing, quality assurance and health & safety.
• Set out projects and manage from start to finish, liaising with sub-contractors, clients and external parties for compliance.
• Lead and upskill a team of chippies where required.

About the Role

The work available will be diverse, ranging from architectural builds, renovations, and alterations/additions, through to spec home builds and commercial construction.

This role is for those who are genuinely passionate aboutthe building industry and comes with remuneration to match your skills and experience.

Your role, while primarily being \"on the tools\", may include tasks such asplanning, scheduling, material purchasing, quality assurance, and healthy and safety responsibilities.

From setting out projects to finishing work, and liaising withsub-contractors, clients, and other external parties for compliance, no two days will be the same.

About You

You're a ‘hands‑on’ person withexperience in a variety of building industry-related projects, and a high standard of personal presentation and workmanship.An organised and systematic approach to work comes naturally to you, as doesstrong planning skills. You're hardworking, reliable and motivated.

The ability to lead and help upskill a team of chippies is highly advantageous.

• Experience in architectural builds, renovations, additions/alterations and/or commercial construction


• Relevant qualification (LBP license beneficial)
