Job summary

Canstaff is seeking an experienced LBP Qualified Builder to work across a range of practical and challenging building projects in Hamilton. This hands-on role offers variety, responsibility, and real opportunities to lead on-site tasks.

You will manage workload with support from an experienced team, travel for work as required, and apply your skills to delivery, quality, and safety across relocations, renovations, and new builds.

Qualifications

• A current LBP licence is required.
• Proven experience as a qualified builder (residential experience essential).
• Confidence working independently and making informed decisions on site.
• Strong knowledge of NZ building standards and Health & Safety practices.
• Willingness to travel for work, including occasional overnight stays or night shifts.
• Physical fitness and comfort working outdoors in all conditions.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A reliable, professional, calm, and practical attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supporting house removal crews with building works.
• Preparing and reinstating houses, villas, and bungalows for relocation.
• House repiling and lifting projects.
• Renovation and remediation work on relocated homes.
• New build and finishing work where required.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
