Job summary

New World Devonport is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced baker to join the bakery at Devonport in Auckland. You will assist in day-to-day bakery operations, ensuring high-quality, freshly baked products are available at the correct price.

Key duties include preparing doughs, baking bread and pastries, decorating cakes for orders and display, merchandising, and receiving goods. NZ Bakery qualifications with one year of experience are required, along with a commitment to health and safety

Responsibilities

• Prepare products for baking.
• Make pastry and bread doughs.
• Bake daily levels of bread, rolls and other bread products.
• Bake, ice and decorate cakes for customer orders and display.
• Merchandise the product in the department and ensure effective stock rotation through monitoring best before dates.
• Receive inwards goods.
• Other tasks across the store as required.

Job description

• Baking, icing and decorating cakes for customer orders as well as for display
• Merchandising the product in the department and ensuring effective stock rotation through the monitoring of best before dates
• Receiving inwards goods
• Other tasks across the store as required.
• NZ Bakery Qualifications, one year's experience, skills, and attributes required for this role
• Able to follow procedures and processes
• Commitment to follow Health & Safety Policy and Food Safety Policy

Wages will be $34.00 per hour.Roster will be discussed during the interview.
