Job summary

Mitre 10 Auckland is seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to maintain optimal stock levels through purchasing, replenishment, and inventory management practices, ensuring products are available when customers need them.

You will manage purchase orders, monitor supplier orders, analyse stock, conduct audits, and coordinate promotional inventory while building strong supplier relationships and supporting store performance.

  • Manage promotional inventory requirements.
  • Communicate with suppliers, couriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and stock availability.

We're looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring our customers can find what they need, when they need it. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with systems, analysing stock levels, building supplier relationships, and making a real impact on store performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the GM Retail, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels across the store through effective purchasing, replenishment, and inventory management practices.

You will help ensure:

  • Products are available for customers when required
  • Purchase orders are raised accurately and on time
  • Customer orders are processed and managed efficiently
  • Promotional stock is available before catalogue and mailer launches
  • Inventory systems and replenishment settings remain accurate
  • Supplier relationships are maintained professionally

This is a fast-paced role that combines inventory control, administration, problem-solving, supplier liaison, and customer service.
